About This Project
The Daniel K. Inouye International Airport (HNL) expansion project is a landmark infrastructure development for the State of Hawaii Department of Transportation. Critical Path Marketing (CPM) was brought on to provide high-level construction photography and drone videography to document the completed installation of the high-performance glazing systems. Overseen by general contractor Hensel Phelps and designed by KYA Design Group, this project required a documentarian who could operate at the highest level of regulatory compliance. By providing professional aerial drone services in one of the most restricted airspaces in the Pacific, CPM captured the scale and precision of the glazing system and airport.
These drone-derived assets were utilized to update the client’s construction portfolio, reinforcing their reputation as a premier leader in federal and state infrastructure. This case study highlights CPM's unique ability to navigate the complex logistics of aviation regulations and multi-agency deconfliction to deliver high-impact marketing assets to the construction industry.

CPM Value
Absolute Mission Accomplishment | Securing authorization for flight operations within Class B airspace is an extremely high-level authorization that the vast majority of commercial drone operators are never granted. It proves that CPM possesses the regulatory knowledge and specialized expertise to operate in the most restricted environments. By managing the liability, clearances, and aviation logistics of active airfield documentation, CPM ensures that your most complex infrastructure projects are never left in the dark due to airspace restrictions. CPM does whatever it takes to ensure your technical authority is documented.

Challenges
FAA Coordination & Class B Airspace Authorization | Executing drone videography and aerial drone services at an active international airport is one of the most difficult challenges in the industry. CPM managed the rigorous process of securing flight permissions through the FAA and Daniel K. Inouye International Airport. This successful coordination demonstrates the company's capability to manage the highest levels of airspace deconfliction while delivering crisp, professional construction photography and drone services.
