About This Project

Lilia Waikiki, a premier mixed-use residential tower in the heart of Honolulu, provided the perfect backdrop for Critical Path Marketing (CPM) to demonstrate the full scope of the firm's construction photography and drone videography capabilities. CPM was tasked with the comprehensive documentation of the project’s high-rise glazing installation, featuring the specialized "Flying Forklift" equipment. By utilizing elite aerial drone services, CPM provided the client with a high-definition project portfolio suite that captured the utilization of this heavy-lift machinery as it operated above the Waikiki urban core.

In addition to marketing-grade assets, CPM conducted a construction aerial site inspection of all levels, delivering a detailed inspection report that allowed the client to verify quality control and project milestones with absolute certainty. To tie the project's success together, CPM produced a high-impact, construction site promotional video. This video featured the craftsmanship of the workforce, and the "Flying Forklift" in action. Upon completion, CPM returned for final architectural and commercial photography of the finished tower, providing the client with a powerful construction portfolio and bid-winning visuals designed to enhance their reputation and secure future high-rise contracts.

CPM Value

Maximizing Asset Utility for Bids | The primary challenge for a specialist contractor is ensuring that field documentation provides a tangible return on investment. CPM addressed this by delivering a suite of assets specifically tailored for the client’s long-term growth. The high-resolution commercial photography was immediately integrated into subsequent bid proposals—a strategic process managed by CPM to transform complex construction field operations into a competitive edge that wins new contracts. This documentation represents the culmination of CPM’s work for the client, bridging the gap between field execution and boardroom-ready technical proposals.

Operational Reporting & Records | The floor-by-floor visual inspection report provided an objective, time-stamped record of all installations. This technical construction documentation eliminated ambiguity in project reporting, serving as a vital insurance and quality-control asset for the client’s permanent records.

Recruitment & Brand Reputation | The construction promotional video served a dual purpose: it enhanced the brand's reputation with developers while acting as a powerful recruitment tool. By showcasing the "Worker Hero" aspect of the project, CPM helped the client attract top-tier talent by visualizing the pride and technical skill of their crew in action. Upon completion, CPM returned for final architectural and commercial photography of the finished tower, providing the glazing specialist with a powerful construction portfolio and the bid-winning visuals required to secure future high-rise contracts.

Challenges

Risk Mitigation in High-Density, High-Liability Environments | Documenting a high-rise in the heart of Waikiki presents a "zero-room-for-error" scenario. Navigating the extreme density of the urban corridor—where active rigging equipment, street lights, palm trees, and fenclines create a high-liability flight path—requires a specialist approach to aerial drone services. CPM provided the client with an elite, zero-incident documentation solution. By managing these technical flight constraints with expert-level precision, CPM ensured that the construction photography and drone videography were captured without ever risking a site shutdown or safety violation. For the client, this meant acquiring high-stakes visual assets while maintaining a 100% clean safety record on a high-visibility project.
